Oh, the beauty and wonder of such glimmering gems of Wisdom. Only tokens of that which is to come in abundance.
Wisdom appears and beckons me, "Come, here I AM...partake." Then moves beyond my grasping hand.
Why do you beckon me come...then move beyond my reach?
Soon I hear, "Did I not say...the way is long and treacherous? Follow me! There are unimaginable riches awaiting those who yearn for Wisdom."
Then I heard, "In your reaching...have you not been left with treasure chests full of life's experiences? Each lesson in life is more precious than gold. Have I not placed, in your heart, precious gems of desire, understanding, purpose, faith, and compassion? These are priceless jewels and your assurance that I will complete what I began."
Then, He said, "Patience is a virtue...that which you seek...I do understand...better still...I know your needs."
Once more, Wisdom spoke to my restlessness.
After my lesson in patient waiting, another beautiful gem was given to me.
Who am I?
I was created from the twinkle in the eyes of the Father as He proclaimed His plan for a hand full of clay.
I saw the first breath of Life enter and awaken the body of Man.
Throughout the ages I have seen the Love of the Almighty protecting mankind in their times of rebellion and ignorance.
I have beheld the joyous thunder of laughter as the Father beheld the antics of His cherished ones.
I have seen the sorrow deep in the eyes of my Lord as His outstretched hand was rejected by stiff-necked attitudes.
I have observed the gentle way in which He leads His obedient ones in the Way of purpose and destiny.
I speak only what I hear the Father speak and I rest silently in those who weak yet strong.
I was given by God. I am an assurance. I am a comfort.
Without me you could receive nothing from Him.
I am as precious as gold and favored in the eyes of the Almighty.
Who am I?
Do you know me?
Ah, now you see!
My name is FAITH and God works through me.
