ABOUT THE ARTIST Originally from Huntington, West Virginia, Wanda moved to Dallas, Texas in 1963. She met and married her Texan, Smitty, in 1964. Together they have two sons, Brad and Mike. Brad and his wife, Kristy, live in south Texas. Mike and his wife, Jessica, live in Tennessee. There are three wonderful grandsons; Joshua, Andrew & Austin. Smitty retired from his TX based mechanical contracting business in 2003. In 2005 Wanda and Smitty moved from Texas. Now, they enjoy living in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. Smitty had heart bypass surgery in April of 2003. Because of recent developing problems, he rec'd a pacemaker on his birthday - July 28th, 2009. We are thankful that some of his symptoms have disappeared since the surgery. Praise the Lord! Please continue to keep Smitty and his family in your prayers. Your support is appreciated. Regarding the artwork in Wanda's gallery: A self-taught artist, drawing and painting was an enjoyable hobby, for many years, since the early days of childhood. However, since eye problems began a few years ago, Wanda is presently unable to enjoy creating her artwork as in the past. The computer has now become her creative outlet.
